Dr James Wilmott, the senior scientist at the Melanoma institute Australian’s, Translational Research laboratory, is based at the Charles Perkins Center, The University of Sydney. I am a faculty member at the Melanoma Institute Australia and Senior Lecture at the University of Sydney. My position is funded by NHMRC investigator fellowship.
As a translational research scientist, I have worked closely with clinical groups to identify areas of need, discovery solutions and work collaboratively to implement these findings and improve patient outcomes. I lead program of research which aim to improve melanoma diagnosis, prognostication, and a focus on the implementation of a patient specific approach to selecting immunotherapy drugs for cancer patients.
